Applying AI to streamline bids and proposals

AI is rapidly transforming industries across the board, sparking both excitement and apprehension in the process. The world of professional services is no exception, with many firms already leveraging AI to streamline their proposal processes. At Flowcase we’re incredibly excited about the implications it can have for bids and proposals, and we’re heavily investing in features that will help to drive new efficiencies.

In this blog, we'll discuss our approach to adopting AI, and we’ll showcase our two latest features that harness this powerful technology to solve the day-to-day challenges our users face.

Our approach to AI

At Flowcase, we have three key values when it comes to AI: Data privacy, real-world application, and continuous learning.

Our first priority, now and always, is data privacy. We ensure our customers' data is kept safe and secure, never repurposing it to train our AI, and never sharing it between customers. In addition, all our AI features require users to opt-in, ensuring consent. Our next value is that our AI features address our user’s daily challenges. In other words, we don’t do AI for marketing’s sake. Every feature we build is designed to enhance proposal quality and efficiency. Our last value is that we remain at the forefront of AI advancements. We keep our finger on the pulse of new innovations, while keeping ourselves aware of risks and potential pitfalls.

This balanced approach ensures we deliver cutting-edge AI solutions that our clients can trust.

Our AI features

AI Translations: Connecting global teams

Our AI Translations feature is our first foray into the world of generative AI. The tool empowers firms to instantly translate resumes (CVs) and projects into 45+ languages, making global bidding more accessible. Unlike traditional tools, such as Google Translate, AI is able to capture context better, resulting in incredibly accurate translations.

Equipped with this feature, firms are not only able to instantly translate content, but they can also translate associated metadata, such as skills, experiences, accreditations, and more. This means that bid teams can search for employees and projects in their native language and receive results from across their organization. This creates a global employee directory that helps teams to surface niche skill sets, no matter the profile language.

AI Proofreading: Ensuring professional content

For busy consultants juggling multiple projects, creating well-written resume content isn’t their top priority. Our AI Proofreading feature helps teams instantly check the grammar, spelling, and punctuation of resume and case study content. This eradicates misspellings and typos and ensures that even the busiest consultant can write content that makes a professional first impression.

AI Text Reduction: Producing concise content

Similar to the above, we often we see consultants write excessively about their accomplishments. This feature enables users to reduce the length of their resume content without losing important details. Not only does this improve readability for proposal evaluators, it also helps bid teams to comply with word or page-count limits. More succinct content may also enable you to share an additional skill or experience that otherwise may not have been possible.

Next steps

As AI continues to evolve, we are actively exploring new applications to enhance our platform further. In fact, we’re already trialing several new AI-driven features and you can be a part of our closed beta. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you would like to access these tools before anyone else.

In the meantime, stay tuned for exciting updates!
