Announcing our SCIM API
We're excited to announce that CV Partner now supports the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) protocol - enabling easier provisioning and management of users within your team.
How does SCIM work, and what are its benefits?
SCIM works alongside your identity provider, such as Azure ActiveDirectory (Entra ID) or Okta, to efficiently manage user identities and access across multiple systems. For example, when a new employee is added to, or removed from, the identity provider, SCIM automatically creates an account for that employee in CV Partner (and any other connected tools). If the employee's information is updated in the identity provider, such as a change in job role, SCIM automatically updates the corresponding information. All of this serves to reduce the manual processes admins face when setting up, maintaining, and deactivating user accounts. This last point - automatically deactivating users - can be particularly important for many firms using CV Partner as it helps to mitigate any risks around compliance and security.
How it integrates with CV Partner
Our SCIM API can be configured to map all of the expected user details, such as name, email, telephone, job title, and so on. On top of this, admins can configure SCIM to set user roles, such as limited users, consultants, department managers, admins, etc. They can also configure the API to automatically apply custom tags to users, such as assigning business divisions, or line managers.
