Frequently asked questions
Flowcase helps to manage your team’s CVs and resumes by centralizing them in one platform. Since everyone uses the same interface, there is a standardized structure that allows for easy updates and transparent access.
Flowcase helps to manage your firm’s past projects by centralizing in one platform alongside your employee CVs and resumes. Since projects can be connected to the people who worked on them, it allows for data efficiencies that you don’t necessarily get in a CRM or ERP.
Using Flowcase, firms can ensure consistency across their CVs and resumes by using our Metadata feature to create an approved glossary of terms. This list can include official terms for skills, roles, certifications and more, and can be easily utilized via auto-suggestions and dropdowns. Admins can use this approved glossary to override existing terms with official terms to bulk-change CVs. Additionally, since all users create their CV and resume with the same Flowcase structure, this is intrinsically consistent across all users.
To ensure data accuracy across employee CVs, there are a few measures you can implement. One is to implement a regular review and update process, using a centralized CV management system that allows employees to easily update their own data. Another is to use a system like Flowcase that connects projects to employees, ensuring that everyone in the team uses the same underlying project data. Lastly, using a system that has a Metadata feature enables managers or proposal teams to override inaccurate data with approved terms.
Employees at professional services firms should update their CV / resume once a quarter at a minimum. Of course, if the employee has completed a project, or achieved a new certification, then this update should be applied immediately. This ensures that CVs always reflect current skills, experiences, and achievements, keeping them ready for immediate use in new proposals.
Transitioning from a legacy system to a dedicated CV database like Flowcase can feel like a mammoth task, but we’ve made a guide that takes you through the process step-by-step. Perhaps most importantly, Flowcase helps you to bulk-import your existing CV data, which streamlines most of the manual work.
