New Feature: AI-Powered Translations (Beta Version)

We have just released an exciting new feature in beta mode: AI translations. This feature will enable teams to quickly and easily translate resumes and CVs, reference projects, and masterdata (ie. skills and skill categories) with strong levels of accuracy.

How can I use the feature?

Once enabled, users with the correct permissions can automatically translate sections of content by choosing the desired language and clicking the “Translate” button. This works as follows:

How can I enable it?

Admins can enable AI-powered translations by navigating to:

  • Account Settings > Customize CV Partner > AI Generated Content

From here they must first select the translation engine of their choice:

  • Neural Machine Translation (NMT) is a more literal translation type, similar to how Google Translate works.
  • Large language model (LLM) produce more generative translations that typically should ‘understand’ context better and output the translation with more accuracy. We recommend selecting this option.

Next, they can choose to enable translations to be used across resumes/CVs, projects, and/or masterdata.

Why is this a ‘beta’ version?

We are rolling this out to all clients in beta mode to give everyone a chance to take advantage of this powerful feature. This will help us to ensure it is working well and delivering the value we expect it to. After this, it will be transitioned to a paid-for feature, which will be communicated ahead of time. You will be informed and will have to re-enable the feature when this change happens.

FAQs

How accurate are the translations?

AI has given us translation capabilities that are better than ever. However, it’s important to remember that all AI-generated data requires human confirmation and quality assurance. We have created a difference-view to ensure that a user can observe the changes or adjustments done to the text.

Can I translate a whole resume/CV or project in one click?

We have intentionally chosen to not allow this, and the reason is linked to the above. If you were able to one-click translate a whole document, our tests have shown that users over time can become "AI-blind", and accepts the translated document without quality assuring the generated content.

Can I edit the given translations?

Yes, after accepting the automated translation you are able to edit it seamlessly. Any edits will be saved automatically.

What kind of LLM model are you using?

We are using Anthropic's model Claude in AWS bedrock with all retraining disabled. This means that no data will leave our current AWS infrastructure, and we are adding no new sub processors.
